Yehuda Shoenfeld is the founder and head of the Zabludowicz Center for Autoimmune Diseases, at the Sheba Medical Center, which is affiliated to the Sackler Faculty of Medicine in Tel-Aviv University, in Israel. Professor Shoenfeld is also the past Incumbent of the Laura Schwarz-Kipp Chair for Research of Autoimmune Diseases at the Tel-Aviv University. Professor Shoenfeld’s clinical and scientific works focus on autoimmune and rheumatic diseases, and he has published more than 2230 papers in journals such as New Eng J Med, Nature, Lancet, Proc Nat AcadScie, J Clin Invest, J. Thomas J. Webster’s (H index: 129) degrees are in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (B.S., 1995; USA) and in biomedical engineering from RPI (Ph.D., 2000; USA). He has formed over a dozen companies who have numerous FDA approved medical products currently improving human health in over 30,000 patients. His technology is also being used in commercial products to improve sustainability and renewable energy. He is currently helping those companies and serves as a professor at Brown University, Saveetha University, Hebei University of Technology, UFPI, and others. Dr. Webster has numerous awards including: 2020, World Top 2% Scientist by Citations (PLOS); 2020, SCOPUS Highly Cited Research (Top 1% Materials Science and Mixed Fields); 2021, Clarivate Top 0.1% Most Influential Researchers (Pharmacology and Toxicology); 2022, Best Materials Science Scientist by Citations (Research.com); and is a fellow of over 8 societies. Prof. Webster is a former President of the U.S. Society for Biomaterials and has over 1,350 publications to his credit with over 66,000 citations. He was recently nominated for the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Prof. Webster also recently formed a fund to support Nigerian student research opportunities in the U.S.
Scientist turned businesswoman, Roxann is the Global Director of Business Development of the US office of Numaferm located at the CIC in Boston. She is responsible for identifying growth opportunities in the pharma sector, forging strategic partnerships, as well as expanding Numaferm’s market presence. As a scientist, Roxann worked on the creation of multispecific immunotherapies targeting cancer immune checkpoints and detains several patents, some of which are currently in clinical trials. She later transitioned into Alliance Management and Business Development for CROs and CDMOs in the US.
KadirUludag holds Ph.D. in Applied psychology (ChineseAcademyofSciences). He is currently doing postdoc in Shanghai Jiaotong University Mental Health Center. His research interest includes schizophrenia research, drug addiction and educational psychology. In addition, he runs a website to share and comment on peer-reviewed articles.
Prof. DSciRadkaArgirova was born in 1944 in Bulgaria. In 1969 she graduated from the Sofia Medical University and started Ph.D. in virology in the Institute of Virology (Ivanovsky) in Moscow (1970-1972, Prof. A.D. Altstein – supervisor), ex. USSR. There she held thesis on animal (mouse) retroviruses. During 1980-81 as a Humboldt Fellowship owner, she specialized oncovirology in Germany (Freiburg i.Breisgau, Prof. G.Hunsmann – supervisor). In 1989 she specialized PCR in the Northwestern Uni., Chicago, USA (Dr. Steve Wolinsky).
